About Me
I’m Phil. I have a huge variety of interests and my background is … colorful. I’m a Maker (heavy focus on electronics and programming) and science geek (heavy focus on astronomy/astrophotography, cosmology, astrophysics, quantum mechanics, and high energy particle physics). I’m also a bit of a space geek and spend an inordinate amount of time watching rocket launches. Currently designing and building CubeSats.
This blog exists so people have one place to go see what’s going on with me.
For my day job I’m an information security architect. That means I figure out how to put together security controls to accomplish strategic security goals (aka “the big picture.”) In many cases, this involves inventing new things, such as algorithmic approaches to autonomous intrusion detection analytics, or predictive remediation.
